For lunch today I reverted to some of my staple concoctions:

Healthy Grilled Cheese
Thomas' Light English Muffin & 1 wedge Laughing Cow Light Swiss
(Whole grains with calcium & a bit of protein)
Oikos Honey Greek Yogurt
(Protein to feed my muscles - the brain IS a muscle)

Warm Cut Up Apple
(Nutrients from fresh food, but zapped in the microwave for 3 minutes to amplify the natural sugars as well as enjoy the taste of warm apple - really good! I think this is become a staple naturally sweet snack for me!)
Another part of mental preparedness & stimulation, along with healthy eating, is to really psych yourself up for success. I'm feeling good, both physically (eating brain food!) and mentally (psyching myself up). Here is a great quote to get you motivated to eat well & do something you've been wanting to do but haven't had the courage:
"There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk."

I've never tried the warm apple thing -- sounds tasty. What about sprinkling a touch of cinnamon on the top?
Good idea! I was thinking of having another apple for a snack right now...I'm going to try the cinnamon thing :)
